Frontline RTL

Almost there..

Fitting the axle brackets, the nearside bracket had to be relieved where the strap comes through.

The offside was nowhere close. I think it had been plated in the past. I had to extend the bracket to suit..

K Midget for sale

Picture attached, I have since removed the rollover bar but of course still have it.

Bought Midget in September 2007 from F.M. Sports Cars in Warrington for £3500

Registered April 1972 so tax exempt, MOt’d till Aug 29 2013, no advisories.
Last serviced summer 2012, done no more than 150 miles since.

Originally fitted with fast road 1380cc A series engine.

I acquired a complete Rover 200Vi with the 1800cc VVC engine.

Through 2011 the basic mechanical changes were made by Totally Triumph
and then it was shipped to Frontline Developments for completion.

As I told you a ridiculously expensive undertaking, monies spent for which
I have receipts are as follows :-

Frontline Conversion Kit                                  £ 3236.37
Totally Triumph fitting                                     £ 2464.00
Frontline finishing/commissioning                 £ 3196.93
Frontline rear damper kit                                £ 300.00

sub Total                                                         £ 9197.30

The car produces just over 150BHP for which I have the rolling road printout.

It is frighteningly fast, at around 225 BHP per tonne better than my SLK350 !

In addition I have a full interior trim kit mainly from Moss which comprises
door trims, carpets, new seats, walnut dash etc. All brand new and still in
boxes.
Cost then £1193.18, to buy now over £1700, do not know why the increase.

If you total it up, including the initial purchase I have spent nearly £ 14,000
very frightening, I must have been mad !

Snags – Not the best of starters ( runs on Emerald ECU)
Rattle from clutch arm which I cannot rectify, Frontline say it is
                nothing to worry about.
Although a full trim kit it would need a new hood in beige to match.

I fully realise I am not getting to get anywhere near the £14 K back that I have
spent but am open to serious offers. I do not think you will find another Midget
like this off the race track.

This car is not for the faint hearted !

MGCC Midget Register Rolling Road Shoot Out 2012

I went to Aldon Automotive to meet like minded Midgeteers, and to see how good my eBay engine really was!
I picked up a hitch-hiker on the way!

 A pretty TR6

 3 K series midgets waiting...

Off the scale!  I wish it would get to 118 mph!
The car is on a standard MEMS ECU and has had the immobiliser removed by Z and F tuning
